Frequently Asked Questions – ManyOne Can.

Walk with Us to Cure Lupus is the Lupus Research Alliance’s signature national fundraising program devoted to finding a cure for lupus. 2022 marks the program’s 20th anniversary.

What began with the first Walk in Washington, DC in 2002 has grown over the past 20 years to unite tens of thousands from across the country who have raised over $42 million for lupus research. 100% of all the money raised goes directly to support lupus research programs because the LRA Board of Directors funds all administrative and fundraising costs.

You have a variety of options if you are not able to walk in person:

You can still register as a virtual walker for a specific location (i.e.: New Jersey Walk) and participate with your fellow walkers without attending in person. On Walk Day, instead of meeting your fellow Walkers you can Walk at a local park or around your house, etc.

You can register and join the 2022 Virtual Walk on May 7! Last year we created the world’s largest lupus Walk experience, and we have plans to make this year’s Virtual Walk even more memorable!

Be sure to sign up for updates to learn about other ways you can be involved with our ManyOne Can Engage Program!

ManyOne Can Engage is our community engagement program, which we are expanding this year to include all the many ways to advance lupus research.

ManyOne Can is rooted in the belief that we are stronger together and finding the cure for lupus is going to take all of us. No one can do it alone, but ManyOne Can!

Your journey with us doesn’t have to stop when the Walk ends. There are so many ways you can make a difference. People with lupus and those who support them can get involved in the clinical trial process, from participating in a focus group to reviewing educational materials. You can also volunteer to advocate on Capitol Hill and amplify awareness via social media. We’re excited to see how ManyOne Can will expand our community, amplify the voices of people with lupus and volunteers, and help us continue fundraising to support more research.
